Excerpt from thought book:
It's some things that will just irk you:
I hate playing games, I don't like writing essays. I can't stand how this CD player stops when IT decides to, in the middle of my favorite song. I can't stand when people hang up the phone in my face- with or without warning. ( If I'm in mid sentence, that is considered hanging up in my face.) I absolutely cringe when people fail to keep their word- especially about returning phone calls. Or hey, if you're not going to call me.......don't say you are!I don't like being unable to trust you because you're sh**ty.
I can't stand when people make excuses instead of just saying the truth. I hate it when girls wear bad weaves. ( weave is a beautiful thing, embrace it!) And I really can't stand when people ask you if your hair is real-- tacky, mmmhmm, just TACK-Y.....Are those real diamonds?
Sometimes, it just feels good to vent. I need to express myself without any interruptions or regrets. Thank you pen.....Thank you paper.........
So you really think you can sporadically call me at 3am and get some attention? LOL-nope, you suuuure can't. I don't like coconut or cheap cologne. And why can't people find the time to just say thank you??? I really am annoyed that the bras I want are $50- hey, I'm a 36D on a budget! Why are the AA cups $30? Conspiracy.
I can't stand chipped polish or dirty nails. I can't stand educated niggas and I hate not knowing when I should know. I despise shallow music. I don't like when people consent because they're silent. And lastly, I know everyone can agree with me on this: I can't stand when you really have something to say but no one wants to answer their phone! And no! I don't feel like leaving a message after the tone!
Man,(sigh) sometimes it just feels good to vent. I needed to express myself without any interruptions or regrets.......thank you pen.....thank you paper.
Healthy change is GOOD change!!!

Today's blog is an excerpt from my thought book....I wrote this at an airport because I had nothing else to do. It's not about anyone in particular but, sometimes you can subconsciously write about ideas and emotions that you wouldn't necessarily admit to. So hey, maybe it is about someone...who knows! Well, enjoy! :)
anonymously speaking
i'm a junkie to his uncompromising affection.
like those who constantly crave for a high better than the last,
I emotionally tweak to be touched by him, to be cared by him,
(sigh) to get to KNOW him!
See, i'm all out of my sensual element,
my nerves, they're going haywire
coz i'm desperately feenin for my marbolo man
to light my soul on fire
i crave to be caressed by the nature of his inner being
puff, puff (exhale) puff, puff (exhale)--mmm. he gives me what i need!
"...Hello, my name is (hell, whatever you want it to be!)
and i'm a junkie to his uncompromising affection....."

You know, a lot of women will argue the theory that good Black men are extinct. Either these men choose to keep more than one person on their speed dial, are incarcerated doing God knows what, or worse ( take a big breath...go ahead take one) dating a Caucasian because they resent the behavior of a typical Black woman......But, wait a minute! I really do beg to differ. Just look at these lyrics to the song "I'm Ready" by Mint Condition. Finally, someone steps up to the plate and realizes what they have in front of them. If you are reading this and believe there aren't any good men anymore:
*where are you lookin- wait, WHY are you lookin?
*how do you carry yourself- I know i'm a woman and everything, but i'm pretty sure most men would agree with me when I say" No gentleman wants to court a hoodrat or a hoe...or a gold digger for that matter" i'm just sayin!
Soooooooo, take a look at these lyrics and KNOW, there is a God somewhere! :) Praise Him! I squirmed with joy, as I played this song on repeat this morning (Mint Condition, you guys are the business! Grown Folk music for real- and, I've highlighted my favorite part :) ) Enjoy guys!

I'm Ready by Mint Condition
Gotta tell you girl, what's been on my mind
Been such a big influence, influence in my life.
I know u called on me and I said I had no time,
I was frontin' on you I musta' been blind
Come over her my dear, gotta get close to your ear,
Cause I wanna make it clear, that all my fears are gone.
CHORUS
I'M READY FOR THE THANGS(That you've been talkin' bout')
I'M READY WON'T CHU SHINE(And remove my clouds)
I'M READY FOR A PLACE(Safe to park my heart)
CAUSE LONLINESS NOW IN THE WORLD IS OFF THE CHARTS
I 'M READY FOR THE WAY(You wanna rub my back)
I'M READY FOR WHAT HAPPENS(After in the sack)
I'M READY TO QUIT PLAYIN'(Cause I've had enough)
I'M READY FOR THIS BOY AND GIRL TO RISE IN……LOVE
2nd verse
Playa playa man,
I was in my zoneIn my freaky world, anything was on
But then I met you girl you were like a mirror
Only you made me see, things deeper and much clearer
About the man inside,
Who always tried to hide,
From real intimacy in his life
Now all my fears are gone.
People always said to me…(That when I meet her, I'll know)
Cause when you look in her eyes and touch her hand(You won't let, her go)
You'd be a fool to look away(I better act like, I know)
So my days of foolin' round are gone(Now that I've found her that's for sure!!!!!)
CHORUS
BRIDGE
I'm ready for the time you tell me not tonite
Cause now it's about us not just me it's alright
I'm ready for the time when I'm miles away
When temptation's round but instead I pray
Ready for a bundle standin' one foot five
And see that bundle have your same beautiful eyes
Can't say enough that I'm ready girl,
In every way,everyday, everyday, everyway
Everyday I thank god for you
CHORUS
LET'S RISE ON!!!!!

I have some concerns that I need to address....Bear with me church.
*It's that time again. I think I may need to have another Breath Check Awareness Day because people continue to offend my breathing bubble. Why can't people take a few EXTRA seconds out of their day to ensure they are worthy to breathe with their mouth open? WHY!?! WHY COME!? !I can't even learn efficiently because my professor is murdering me with her hot fumes! If I'm not here tomorrow, pick out my casket....dawnielle you know which color ( pimp purple with gold teeth gold trimmin- that's fly! )
I mean, I just need to address some things!
* Why did some female discuss for five minutes that feminine energy is going to bring back the spiritual balance in this country when all she was SUPPOSE to do is ASK a question regarding the impact of the hip hop culture? WHYYYY? WHY COME!?!
* Why can't I ride Atlanta's public transportation without having every bum off the street tryin to holla at me. SCUSE ME, no! I don't want your number and no! you can't have mine either! And whoever told that fat guy today that licking his lips and winking his eye at me would be sexy is out of line! NO! I promise you that image was scarier than four dollar gas.
*Why can't I walk home peacefully without some willy nilly negro yellin, "eh! can i come in!?!" from the passenger side of his homeboy's ride........NO YOU CANNOT!
and finally......
* This random guy, again by my house, stops his telephone conversation to ask me if I'm from Texas:
random guy: "Excuse me, are you from Texas?" as we walk in opposite directions.
me: "Nooooo, I'm from California"
random guy: "What part"
me: "Sacramento" now we are even further away.
random guy YELLS: " I didn't know they had humpback like that! I'ma have to shot ya'll out!"
This conversation was just not the business, fellas tell your fellow brotherhood to get it together.
I just needed to address some things, that's all. I'm just sayin! :)
