Hurd up! Hurd up! These people have lost their minds! Somebody call for back-up! Houston, LA, New YORK, we have a problem! I need an AK47, a swiss army knife and my nine, because somebody is dying tonight if I don't get the rest of my check! Now, I can see if maybe an hour or so is missing, but not two 1/2 weeks! They got me twisted!

Ok ,ok, ok, I need to calm down, huh? But I CAN'T! I have bills to pay, people have told me that I'm cute- but um, looks don't allow me to live for free. If my money ain't right by the time I return to Atlanta.......mmm. I'm taking those DKNY glasses I saw and then I'm going to blow up the whole CNN Center. Shoooooot, they got me straight confused!OH, wait- I forgot to mention that the stupid Georgia peach working at the counter didn't put the little bit of my check in my account. You can clearly see on your screen that the account is out of state, and that's why it wouldn't exist in Georgia-- remedial! I'm schick of shoopid! I am not a PEACH!

I swear it's a conspiracy, someone is just dying for me to get evicted. I'm going to be like those crackheads, digging in the trash cans of college students who HAVE their rent paid for, and picking car locks for ten dollars......what is the world coming to!?!

The mind is such a powerful thing. Everything that we do or say starts from a thought. So what are we allowing to influence them??? What makes it so bad, is that our emotions put pressure on our thinking. Which leads to us making irrational decisions, when we don't think situations through. I wonder how many people eloped and regretted it later, or cussed someone out that they wish they hadn't.Well, I can truthfully confess that I can let fear get the best of me. And when you're afraid, you become vulnerable, making your mind play tricks on you. Life is so crazy, and I'm reminded of that each time I experience another random occurence in mine. :)

My, my, my.......all I have to say is that it's so imperative to not let the way other people treat you in the past, solely affect the way you treat people in your future. You're suppose to learn from them and use that wisdom for your good. That's what your SUPPOSE to do, but sometimes, we don't act right. And I keep saying "we," because shoot, everyone's been guilty of such foolishness at least once in their life..........As my late Aunt Sis said in her 80's to my grandfather one day, " You are too OLD for that BULLS**T!"

LOL, She ain't nevva lied.

WARNING: this blog is very random!

These song lyrics are ringing in my ear! I think that means I should finish this song, huh? Music is calling me, gotta go!

Can't Let Go

Time and time again
I lie to myself about you being my friend
and time and time again
i lose control
boy, you don't even know the feelin'
your smile makes my wall come tumblin' down
can't keep still when you're around

There's no pushing away
coz the energy you give
is like a magnet pulling me
don't know what to do
reality is,
I can't shake myself from you

Hook:

My girls say I got the jones for you
guess it's obvious
the way i'm peepin you
you give me sweet chills
and that's for real
I can't let go (no, no)
I can't let go (no, no)
I can't let go

To be continued!

P. S. I am very happy to say that I sang " You Consume My Mind" to the biggest critics in the world-- my parents, and they loved it. :) good stuff, good stuff-- especially when they started singing it. :) I have to record that song!

wait a minute, wait a minute. WAIT A MINUTE!

Promise me my roommate from Connecticut locked her keys in her car yesterday. And, of course things like that happen- nothing major, right? But, the fact that she had two crackheads pick the lock to her door is what continues to blow my mind. LOL She was waiting for the locksmith to come when she caught them looking through our trash can. ( I figured by now they would realized that we never have any cans in our garbage, but hey! what can you do?) My roommate proceeds to let them break into her car and then to top it off.......she pays them ten dollars each for their rendered service! ( in a Lil' Jon voice) What!?! LOL I just couldn't believe that, only in my life do these random occurrences happen. I had to share that. So in the end, my roomie saved some money and two crackheads were able to possibly get high.........

By the way, let me just mention how triflin' and ghetto I've been the last couple of days!

ghetto incident:

One corner of my bed had a gangsta lean to it because someone was jumping on it ( yeah, Shivon you were real crunk- it was funny tho'), and well- it broke. It really hadn't been a problem until I recently needed to put some storage underneath my bed. Seeing that there weren't any bricks aimlessly lying around, I went in the storage room looking for a solution. I found two classic, throwback computer speakers and used them to hold my bed up. And what makes it so bad is that one of the speakers has a chord connected to it, so I wrapped it around to make it look neat. My father said that was improvising, but can we say ghetto?

triflin' incident:

I'm still working on my MIDTERM for Music Theory. Oh, I finished my final- not a problem! Yeah, real triflin', I know. I'm almost done though, I promise. :)

I am so proud to announce that my girl from high school, Aubrey, made P. Diddy's band last night. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! She's a sweet girl, she deserves it.......not quite sure why they were all singing sharp, but I'll assume it was the from the excitement of winning.

As many of you know, and some of you don't, I am a proud intern for Wondaland Productions.....and by the way pick up that "Got Purp? vol. 2" Well, I must say that I am quite concerned about one of my bosses.Yeah, I really believe that Mr. Wonder himself has a life threatening issue. Yes. A phobia to be exact. I'm going to put it out there ( 'cause Delvin told me to! Hi delvin :) ).............. Tre you are afraid to get your hair done. You have cancelled and rescheduled your appointments more times than Ashanti croaks " Baby." But, it's ok. I'll just get you while you're sleeping, because I refuse to keep letting you go on like this! You're going to wake up one morning and, viola! Your hair is going to be too fly! I can NOT let you escort Janelle to anymore performances not lookin your best.....Friends don't let friends look a hot mess. I love you and that's why I'm telling you, the first step to getting over a phobia is admitting you have one. :) With that said, let us all be in special prayer for Tre's hair care breakthrough..... If two just touch and agree! ( I love you "masterpiecer", we all do, that's why we're praying for QUICK recovery! Praise him.) LOL

Moving on.......Apparently, according to Delvin, I've been acting real shady because I withheld some pertinent information. Soooooo, I apologize for not informing people sooner that I live and breathe writing music. Oops. I know, I know, why didn't I say anything? ......... I mentioned it in my interview, no one asked anymore questions so I left it alone. :) I'm shy around other musicheads, so I chill out. Delvin, please forgive me for not being more vocal, ( Is it even possible for me to talk more than I already do? Scary thought.) but hey, now you know. :) I also enjoy singing background vocals, listening to people play the drums, eating cans of frosting by itself (right now I'm stuck on vanilla with sprinkles!), intellectual orgasms, giving massages, helping people, fresh line-ups, praise & worship, long walks on the beach....................... You know, the good stuff ;) ( I'm so goofy!)

Lastly, just wanted to mention:
My new job has me twisted! LOL this girl was over an hour late and she thought I was just going to chill there why she took her time to come in. Uh, no! LOL that was funny, definitely locked up the store and bounced! I don't know what they came to do! I have a life, thank you. And on top of that, I filled in for my manager who still put down his hours like he was there. Funny.

Keep smilin' til next time! xoxo

p.s. chuck, you are not off the hook either, i'll be fixing your hair too! :)

( listening to "Letting Go" by Janelle Monae)

Well, I just finished my math final....... a bunch of foolishness! I really don't see why teachers give a review and then don't put half of the material on the test. That really irritated me, but then again, I AM bitter because this is the only class I don't have an "A" in. But hey, at least i'm done with math for the rest of my collegitate career, right?

Last night, during one of my several study breaks (smile), my roommate and I were trying to figure out why people keep hitting us upside the head with a bullsh** bat..........but we failed to reach a logic conclusion. So instead, we discussed the stupidity of men when it comes to standing fly women like us up. We began laughing hysterically because, sometimes some men are so dumb. LOL Do you really expect me to believe that your phone was on silent because you were watching the game, and that's why you didn't answer when I called to see why you're an hour late??? Um, scuse me. Especially when I happen to be watching the same game as you. Anyone who watches sports knows a game isn't intriguing when the score is 42-0. Lol, whooo that's funny. Then, you call an hour later like everything is copestetic- you KNOW you got caught up doing something else- " You ain't gotta lie Craig, you ain't gotta lie!" Oh the simple-mindedness of men at times.
Roomie, it's straight...I don't think he would've been ready for those stilletos you had on anyway-- you were fly my sista! I love my roomie, Leos are so coo-- gotta love em!

No poems today, but I do have a poem on poetry.com if you wanna read one. It's the poem I perfomed at the Jaspects concert last month. I wrote it about3 or four years ago, but it's one of my favorites.

I will end today's blog with a random thought or two for you to ponder about:

Fat people are harder to kidnap......

Excerpt from thought book:

It's some things that will just irk you:

I hate playing games, I don't like writing essays. I can't stand how this CD player stops when IT decides to, in the middle of my favorite song. I can't stand when people hang up the phone in my face- with or without warning. ( If I'm in mid sentence, that is considered hanging up in my face.) I absolutely cringe when people fail to keep their word- especially about returning phone calls. Or hey, if you're not going to call me.......don't say you are!I don't like being unable to trust you because you're sh**ty.

I can't stand when people make excuses instead of just saying the truth. I hate it when girls wear bad weaves. ( weave is a beautiful thing, embrace it!) And I really can't stand when people ask you if your hair is real-- tacky, mmmhmm, just TACK-Y.....Are those real diamonds?

Sometimes, it just feels good to vent. I need to express myself without any interruptions or regrets. Thank you pen.....Thank you paper.........

So you really think you can sporadically call me at 3am and get some attention? LOL-nope, you suuuure can't. I don't like coconut or cheap cologne. And why can't people find the time to just say thank you??? I really am annoyed that the bras I want are $50- hey, I'm a 36D on a budget! Why are the AA cups $30? Conspiracy.

I can't stand chipped polish or dirty nails. I can't stand educated niggas and I hate not knowing when I should know. I despise shallow music. I don't like when people consent because they're silent. And lastly, I know everyone can agree with me on this: I can't stand when you really have something to say but no one wants to answer their phone! And no! I don't feel like leaving a message after the tone!

Man,(sigh) sometimes it just feels good to vent. I needed to express myself without any interruptions or regrets.......thank you pen.....thank you paper.

Today's blog is an excerpt from my thought book....I wrote this at an airport because I had nothing else to do. It's not about anyone in particular but, sometimes you can subconsciously write about ideas and emotions that you wouldn't necessarily admit to. So hey, maybe it is about someone...who knows! Well, enjoy! :)

anonymously speaking

i'm a junkie to his uncompromising affection.
like those who constantly crave for a high better than the last,
I emotionally tweak to be touched by him, to be cared by him,
(sigh) to get to KNOW him!
See, i'm all out of my sensual element,
my nerves, they're going haywire
coz i'm desperately feenin for my marbolo man

to light my soul on fire
i crave to be caressed by the nature of his inner being
puff, puff (exhale) puff, puff (exhale)--mmm. he gives me what i need!
"...Hello, my name is (hell, whatever you want it to be!)
and i'm a junkie to his uncompromising affection....."

You know, a lot of women will argue the theory that good Black men are extinct. Either these men choose to keep more than one person on their speed dial, are incarcerated doing God knows what, or worse ( take a big breath...go ahead take one) dating a Caucasian because they resent the behavior of a typical Black woman......But, wait a minute! I really do beg to differ. Just look at these lyrics to the song "I'm Ready" by Mint Condition. Finally, someone steps up to the plate and realizes what they have in front of them. If you are reading this and believe there aren't any good men anymore:

*where are you lookin- wait, WHY are you lookin?

*how do you carry yourself- I know i'm a woman and everything, but i'm pretty sure most men would agree with me when I say" No gentleman wants to court a hoodrat or a hoe...or a gold digger for that matter" i'm just sayin!

Soooooooo, take a look at these lyrics and KNOW, there is a God somewhere! :) Praise Him! I squirmed with joy, as I played this song on repeat this morning (Mint Condition, you guys are the business! Grown Folk music for real- and, I've highlighted my favorite part :) ) Enjoy guys!

I'm Ready by Mint Condition

Gotta tell you girl, what's been on my mind
Been such a big influence, influence in my life.
I know u called on me and I said I had no time,
I was frontin' on you I musta' been blind
Come over her my dear, gotta get close to your ear,
Cause I wanna make it clear, that all my fears are gone.
CHORUS
I'M READY FOR THE THANGS(That you've been talkin' bout')

I'M READY WON'T CHU SHINE(And remove my clouds)
I'M READY FOR A PLACE(Safe to park my heart)
CAUSE LONLINESS NOW IN THE WORLD IS OFF THE CHARTS
I 'M READY FOR THE WAY(You wanna rub my back)
I'M READY FOR WHAT HAPPENS(After in the sack)
I'M READY TO QUIT PLAYIN'(Cause I've had enough)
I'M READY FOR THIS BOY AND GIRL TO RISE IN……LOVE
2nd verse
Playa playa man,

I was in my zoneIn my freaky world, anything was on
But then I met you girl you were like a mirror
Only you made me see, things deeper and much clearer
About the man inside,
Who always tried to hide,
From real intimacy in his life
Now all my fears are gone.
People always said to me…(That when I meet her, I'll know)

Cause when you look in her eyes and touch her hand(You won't let, her go)
You'd be a fool to look away(I better act like, I know)
So my days of foolin' round are gone(Now that I've found her that's for sure!!!!!)
CHORUS
BRIDGE
I'm ready for the time you tell me not tonite

Cause now it's about us not just me it's alright
I'm ready for the time when I'm miles away
When temptation's round but instead I pray
Ready for a bundle standin' one foot five
And see that bundle have your same beautiful eyes
Can't say enough that I'm ready girl,
In every way,everyday, everyday, everyway
Everyday I thank god for you
CHORUS
LET'S RISE ON!!!!!

I have some concerns that I need to address....Bear with me church.

*It's that time again. I think I may need to have another Breath Check Awareness Day because people continue to offend my breathing bubble. Why can't people take a few EXTRA seconds out of their day to ensure they are worthy to breathe with their mouth open? WHY!?! WHY COME!? !I can't even learn efficiently because my professor is murdering me with her hot fumes! If I'm not here tomorrow, pick out my casket....dawnielle you know which color ( pimp purple with gold teeth gold trimmin- that's fly! )

I mean, I just need to address some things!

* Why did some female discuss for five minutes that feminine energy is going to bring back the spiritual balance in this country when all she was SUPPOSE to do is ASK a question regarding the impact of the hip hop culture? WHYYYY? WHY COME!?!

* Why can't I ride Atlanta's public transportation without having every bum off the street tryin to holla at me. SCUSE ME, no! I don't want your number and no! you can't have mine either! And whoever told that fat guy today that licking his lips and winking his eye at me would be sexy is out of line! NO! I promise you that image was scarier than four dollar gas.

*Why can't I walk home peacefully without some willy nilly negro yellin, "eh! can i come in!?!" from the passenger side of his homeboy's ride........NO YOU CANNOT!

and finally......

* This random guy, again by my house, stops his telephone conversation to ask me if I'm from Texas:

random guy: "Excuse me, are you from Texas?" as we walk in opposite directions.

me: "Nooooo, I'm from California"

random guy: "What part"

me: "Sacramento" now we are even further away.

random guy YELLS: " I didn't know they had humpback like that! I'ma have to shot ya'll out!"

This conversation was just not the business, fellas tell your fellow brotherhood to get it together.

I just needed to address some things, that's all. I'm just sayin! :)

Spending Time With You

with a dreamy smile i close my eyes
and inhale memories of your warm mesmeric scent
the aroma of you recaputures those innocent butterflies
that only sweet adoration can bring
i'm tempted to just lay in my thoughts
becoming wrapped in you

you have this swagger incomparable to anyone else
your style fly
your presence calming and secure
your spirit meek
your mind mysterious yet intriguing
your gentleman demeanor makes me want to devote my life catering to you

can I?
can I show you the woman in me that's been waiting for your arrival.....
coz there's no end to the joy i find in spending time with you

mood: chillin like a villian....no this poem doesn't have a name to it
So for the past couple of months this concept of living has been ringing in my quiet thoughts:

Say what you mean and mean what you say

My best friend calls people who contradict their words with their actions sh**ty a**holes.
For example: If you are invited to the movies and you don't really wanna go, so you just flake without calling. This makes you a what? a sh**ty a**hole.

Say what you mean and mean what you say

If we decided to put away our childish behavior and become tactifully honest with ourselves and others, a lot of confrontations and hurt feelings would be avoided.......but hey, i'm just sayin!

So that's pretty much what's been on my mind lately besides thinking:

*I'm really tired of school! I feel like i'm just going through the motions (because Spelman doesn't have my major!) and I want to do something more productive in my life that stimulates my passion for music.

*What is so wrong with choosing to make lukewarm romances obsolete in my life??? A lot of people bark their hot breath down my neck about the necessity to talk to several different men simultaneously... I can't do it, it's too emotionally and mentally confusing. I've done it in the past and it becomes too much. Besides, I don't think it's fair. A person deserves an honest chance to show you who they are without being compared to the next man/woman you have on the other line. ( And i'm not competing with another woman....that is really softmork! timeout! either you want to date me or you don't) That's really insecure if you HAVE to always receive attention from the opposite sex, so you call Mark when Thomas is busy...really?

*I just want to be all that God wants me to be.... I can't change who I am and I shouldn't feel ashamed because my morals/values as a lady differ from the mediocre woman. I can't lower my standards or expectations to be temporarily accepted..........Proverbs 31, Romans 12:1,2 lives through me and hey, that's ok.......

* If you carry yourself as a gentleman/lady then you deserve to be treated like one and don't make any exceptions!

more to come..............
